The nearest rail head of Gidda Pahar is New Jalpaiguri (NJP) and the nearest airport is Bagdogra (IXB). You can take taxis or shared cars from NJP or IXB to Gidda Pahar or hire reserved cars too. You can also take the UNESCO-listed Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train) from NJP to Kurseong and then hire a local taxi to reach Gidda Pahar around 3 kms. away.

The present Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Museum at Gidda Pahar is the same house where Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was placed under house arrest in this house for seven months in 1936. It now houses a collection with many valuable photographs and articles.
